Project title: “Continuous improvement strategy for increasing the efficiency of wastewaters treatment facilities in the Black Sea coastal states”

Association BSCE- Dobrich, together with organization from 5 countries in the Black Sea- Romania , Armenia, Georgia, Greece , Moldova launches two-year project “Continuous improvement strategy for increasing the efficiency of wastewaters treatment facilities in the Black Sea coastal states” contract № 2.2.3.72546.202, MIS-ETC 2177. The project objectives are aimed at cooperation between countries in the Black Sea basin to improve the management of treatment facilities by construction of a new strategy for their management; acquisition of new competencies and skills for management of water treatment; enabling the responsible institutions to manage more effectively and respond more quickly to trending tendencies in the target area.
Beneficiaries of the project are: regional and local operators, municipalities, managers, treatment plants, universities and NGOs will be included in the project activities.
- Analysis of the current situation of the treatment facilities and regulations;
- Development of a new management strategy for the treatment plants;
- Development of a system of indicators to measure and monitor water;
- Training of local operators and people directly involved in environmental protection and wastewater management.
The project will not only bring improvement to existing facilities, but it is possible water supplying company Dobrich will make new contacts and exchange valuable experience with similar organizations in the Black Sea basin.
